How do I open an account with Chola Money Manager?

Opening an account with CDSL is a simple process.

  • Register yourself by providing your name, address, bank details etc.,
  • You will receive a pre-filled application form to your registered email id.
  • You need to sign the application form and send it to us along with the supporting documents.
  • We shall activate your account post verification of the account opening form and supporting documents.
  • Once your account is activated, the user id and password will be sent to your registered email id.
How do I register with Chola Money Manager, if I have an existing account with CDSL?
  • Click the "Existing User" and search based on Customer Code / PAN No. / Folio No. Then register your self by providing your existing details.
  • You will receive the One Time Password and update the OTP.
  • Authenticate your details; your existing details available with us will be displayed.
  • Please check and modify the required details, if there are any changes.
  • You will receive a pre-filled application form to your registered email id.
  • You need to sign the application form and send it to us along with the supporting documents.
  • We shall activate your account post verification of the account opening form and supporting documents.
  • Once your account is activated, the user id and password will be sent to your registered email id.

I have already invested through other distributors in the offline / Online mode. How can I bring those folios into online mode?

Investors who have already invested through other distributors, just need to send change of broker forms and folio conversion from offline to online request letter duly signed. Similar forms are available under download section.

How do I change my existing Bank Account, Email ID, Mobile No. etc., registered with other AMCs.?

Simply you can update your New Bank Account details, e-mail id, Mobile No. etc. to CDSL (refer download sections for any change in non-financial transactions).

Can I invest in Mutual Funds in Joint holder mode through www.cholamoneymanager.com?

No Investor can opt for Anyone or Survivor mode only.

Do I need to send the 2nd Holder Online Account Opening form to CDSL? How to create Mode of Holding as Anyone or Survivor?

Yes. Upon completion of the account activation for the second holder, the investor can select the mode of holding before making an investment.

Will I be able to view my family’s investments with a single login?

Yes. Option will be given to the primary investor.

From which bank account the purchase is to be made?

The investment should be made from the Primary Bank account registered with CDSL.

I have relocated. How to change the communication address?

You can update the address in Chola Money Manager by clicking ‘Update Contact Details’ available under the ‘Customer Profile’ tab.

If you wish to update address at the AMC, you need to fill in the KYC change form. (KYC Change Form is available in the download section)

How do I update the address at the AMC?

In download section, “KYC Change Forms” are available. Fill the KYC change form with new details and submit the same to your nearest Point of Service (POS).

AMC will update the same through CVL KRAs when any purchase or switch transaction is executed.

What is the procedure to add / change the nomination details?

Investor should provide ‘Change of Nomination’ request letter (Refer download section).

How can I make the investments through Chola Money Manager?

Once the account is activated, you can make purchase, redeem or switch transactions on your mutual fund investments.

What are the AMCs available in Chola Money Manager platform?
What is the cut-off time for investments?

For all purchase / Switch of liquid and non-liquid schemes, the investment cut-off time is 1.00 PM.

For redemption, the cut-off time is 1.00 PM to receive the same day (business day) NAV. The Redemption amount shall be credited as per the below schedule:

Liquid – T+1 business day
Debt – T+2 business day
Equity – T+3 business day
International Schemes – T+6 to 8 days.

I am an NRI, how do I open an account with Chola Money Manager?

Currently, NRIs cannot operate CDSL online platform ‘Chola Money Manager’.

Whether Chola Money Manager supports SIP transactions?

For the time being, we do not facilitate Systematic Investment Plans. Facilitation of SIP transactions will be introduced shortly as the work is in progress.

Do you charge for opening an online account?

There are no charges for opening an account and for investing through Chola Money Manager.

Can I delete the Purchase / Redemption / Switch request once placed?

Once the order is placed, it cannot be deleted.

How do I change the password?

The option to change password is available under ‘Customer Profile’.

How do I change the existing investments Holding profile from “Joint” to “Anyone or Survivor”?
